Meet The Senior Staff Of Charity Baptist ChurchCharles Brooks,  Pastor
Charles serves as the Senior Pastor of Charity Baptist Church. Shortly after receiving Christ at the age of twenty-four, Charles enrolled in BMBC (a subsidiary of Carolina Bible College) where he earned his Associate in Theology. Charles worked in Youth Ministry for fourteen years. In March of 2009 he was voted in as the Pastor at Charity Baptist Church where he had served for the last four years as the Youth Pastor. Charles' devotion to preaching and systematic verse by verse teaching of the Word of God is becoming well known. With the guidance of the Holy Spirit, his messages are practical, easy to understand, and relevant for today's world. Charles and his wife Teresa have two wonderful children, they call them"gifts from God". Charles and his family believe that they are serving in a divine appointment, which is evidenced by the fruit of their labors. God has truly blessed Bro. Charles and his family here at Charity Baptist Church. Ray Wilson,  Minister Of Music
Ray Wilson serves as Minister of Music at Charity Baptist Church.  Ray, and his wife Lisa have one daughter, Victoria, and a son, Connor. Ray has been a member of Charity Baptist Church since 2002. Ray was raised in church and even at a very young age knew there was something missing in his life.  At the age of five, while attending a revival at Grace Baptist Church, Ray received Christ as his savior and has been a child of God for almost forty years. Ray's dedication to the ministry is evident in his life and his work at Charity Baptist as minister of music. Ray feels that his ministry is an honor and a blessing and he enjoys using music as a way to worship and glorify his Savior.
Billy Williams,  Sunday School Superintendent
Billy serves as Sunday School Superintendent at Charity Baptist Church. Billy received Christ at the age of twenty. He was married on June 12 1981 to Sheri McClellan. They have two children: Casey, and Jessy. Billy has attended church for twenty-eight years and has been a member of Charity Baptist Church for eight years. Billy began attending Sunday school shortly after joining the church. He felt that Sunday school was a very vital and important part of a Christian's life and is instrumental in the learning and development of all Christians. Billy's desire is that every Christian would find Sunday School to be a natural progression in their biblical knowledge, faith, and fellowship with other believers and that Sunday School is a great place to begin that journey. Catherine  "Kitty"  Smith,  Secretary/Treasurer
Mrs. Kitty serves as secretary/treasurer of Charity Baptist Church. She is married to Larry Smith and has two children and five grandchildren. She has been a member of Charity Baptist Church since 1984, and was saved at the age of fourteen after being invited to a revival by her brother-in-law. She is a vital part of the ministry of Charity Baptist Church. She not only serves as secretary/treasurer but also in many other capacities of the week to week operations of the church. She has a wonderful personality and has always been willing to take on various responsibilities. Charity Baptist Church Board of DeaconsTed Williams, Chairman
Ted Williams serves as chairman of the deacon board at Charity Baptist. Ted was saved at his home at twenty-four years of age. Ted has been married to his wife, Lorene Coffey Williams for forty-six years. They have two sons, Greg and Tim and two grandchildren, Olivia and Grayson. His family joined Charity Baptist in December 1984. Ted's primary focus is to be closer to the Lord and his church family, to see people saved, and to see the church grow spiritually. Randall Rhea
Randall Rhea serves as a deacon at Charity Baptist. He was saved on February 2, 1980 after attending church for several years. Randall and his wife Jenny Mains Rhea have five children, Randy, Missy, Shauna, Tony and Megan; and four grandchildren, Adam, Madisyn, Lindsey and Alyssa. Randall's family, grandchildren, and sports are his hobbies. His family joined Charity Baptist Church in February 1989. Randall has served as a Deacon for many years. His primary focus is soul winning, especially to see children saved at an early age. Daniel Mitchell
Daniel Mitchell serves as deacon at Charity Baptist. Daniel was saved as a child at the age of eight. He and his wife Mary Ellen Eads Mitchell have been married for thirty-seven years and have two children, Nathan Mitchell and Misty Jones. They have three grandchildren, Marissa and Carleigh Mitchell and Garrett Jones. Daniel's hobbies are his grandchildren and NASCAR. Daniel and his family joined Charity Baptist Church in January 1993. He has been an ordained Deacon for eleven years. His primary focus as Deacon is to serve the Lord through helping the members of Charity Baptist. |
